On some level expect their new man/woman to make up for the wrongdoings of their ex.

Constantly compare their current men/women to their exes.

Do everything to avoid solitude as much as possible.

Why do so many FtM people act like MtF people don't exist and what the hell am I supposed to do as an MtF person?

More often than not this happens because people tend to overestimate how fast they can move on and process a breakup and underestimate the work, power and awareness this really takes.
